What is Paintball?  
The game is played with gas-operated markers that shoot biodegradable gelatin capsules filled with a water-soluble, no-toxic paint. Although paintball is some times referred to as a "war" game, the sport does to promoter glorify war. In fact, it doesn't opposite.? Once you experience the sport of paintball, you will soon realize that any combat zone is definitely not the safe place that the movies make them out to be even you are an invincible hero. Paintball is not a violent despite its appearance to the uninitiated.

Paintball players wear camouflage clothing only because the game is playing in the woods and they don't want to be seen by their opponents.

Paintball is a sport where men, women, the young and the old can compete equally. Size, strength or gender is not as important as intelligence and determination. People play Paintball throughout the word from all professions and gain self-confidence while developing valuable leadership skills. Players that pay attention to their senses and develop good team oriented strategy; planning and communications will overpower their opposition easily and quickly.

The object of the most common game is to go out and capture the other team's flag while protecting your own. While you are trying to capture a flag, you also try to eliminate opposing players by tagging then with a special air gun called a paintball gun. Games have usually a time limit of 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the field and the numbers of players.

Between games, players take a break to check their equipment, reload paintballs and have a snack or a soda while they share their stories about the thrills of victory and the usually funny against of defeat. Win or loose, everyone has a good time and there's always the next game waiting for you.

The paint pallets break upon impact, and generally cause very little pain. What pain is experienced is more of stinging sensations from the pellet's impact against the skin or through clothing. Of course, the closer you are to the muzzle of the gun, the higher the velocity of the pellet when it hits you. Thus, more pain may be experienced when shot at close range rather than farther away.

In general, one can count on coming off the field with a few welts from paintball impacts, but your most annoying injuries are more likely to be scrapes and bruises from the local terrain.

Statistics show that paintball is one of the safest activities around. At VPA all paint guns are checked daily before and during play to ensure the speed and range of paint pellets is within recognized industry standards.

Once the adrenaline starts pumping, you can't help to love the trill of the game!!!!!
